Original lithograph card with a color illustration on front of a mother and child looking at ducks by a pond in a bucolic setting. The ducks appear to gaze up at them. A quaint cottage, presumably theirs, is pictured in the background. Gilt border surrounds the illustration. No date, circa 1890s-1910s. 3" x 3 1/4." Card is very clean and intact except for slight edge wear, a couple of wrinkles at the bottom on front, and slight age toning on back. A Very Good copy. This card bears some resemblance to trade cards, which are antique business cards and the predecessors of modern trading cards. Trade cards were most common during the late nineteenth century..
